We are excited to announce the registration info for the upcoming 2024 Summer Competitive Season which runs from May – mid August. Please review the recently updated Juan de Fuca Royals Swim Club Information and Policies, the Competition Season Schedule (which includes practice and meet info) and Summer Swim Groupings. The Info and Policy document has been updated to reflect the board approved changes to the summer season and outlines several important policies that affect registration. This summer competitive season will look different as we continue to encourage our swim club members to participate in the swim meet season that we train for all year! Swimmers have been placed in registration groups, please see the attached document for your swimmers’ group to register in.

If you have any questions about group placement you may contact coach@jdfroyals.ca to request an adjustment, however, please note that the coaches have been assessing your swimmers all winter and took careful consideration in making the placements. Our team is doing the best we can with limited pool space, requests for changes due to schedule conflicts will not be approved.

Swimming this summer is available for the entire summer season only. There is no part time option to swim in the summer competition season. This means that registration will be inclusive of the entire season and your swimmer may attend as many or all the practice times for their group.

The Juan de Fuca Royals Board of Directors has carefully considered the intent and focus of our swim club in making this decision. We feel this decision aligns the club more closely with our participation in the BC Summer Swimming Association. We encourage you to review the refund, hold and cancellation policy before you register for the summer season.

2024 Registration Dates

Saturday April 13, 2024 @ 8:00am – Current swim families
Saturday April 20, 2024 @ 8:00am – Open to any new swimmer if space is available

2024 Swim Fees

Mini Group: Monthly $50 – Pay in Full $175
Junior Group: Monthly $125 – Pay in Full $437.50
Intermediate Group: Monthly $160 – Pay in Full $560
Senior Group: Monthly $200 – Pay in Full $700

Your swimmer’s fee includes the following: unlimited practice attendance May – mid August for your swimmer’s group, Juan de Fuca Royals swim cap and all swim meet fees (usually $6-8 per race).

Additional required fees: BCSSA Insurance Fee $35, Vancouver Island Region Fee $10, $100 *Fundraising Fee (max $200 per family)

Family Discount: For the discount to be applied you must register ALL your swimmers at the same time on the same transaction. The first swimmer is charged the full fee, additional swimmers receive 20% off in your family. The only way to adjust this after registration is to withdraw your swimmers and re-register if this occurs you must email the registrar@jdfroyals.ca.

Payment Options: Swim fees can be paid monthly or in full for the season. Please note that a processing charge is applied to all transactions and is non-refundable.

If your family requires financial assistance towards summer swim fees, there are options listed in the attachment.

Team Swim Suits
Ordering for team swim suits will be available online separately from registration. More information will be available soon! There will be one order for this season.
